For anyone who needs a hotel for the Searchlight GP race- there is only one small hotel with 20 rooms in Searchlight so Laughlin is the next closest town (48 miles), AZOP has made a deal with the Avi Casino and Hotel to be the host hotel for us. Room rates Thursday night $28.99, Fri-Sun night $59.99 2 queen beds.
Individual reservations are to call, and guarantee their reservation with a credit card. S Highway 95 to Searchlight. Turn East on Cottonwood Cove Road ( Corner of Searchlight Nugget Casino). Follow Arrows thru town.
Turn left onto Gas Line Rd. (next left after the blue Searchlight Justice Court Building). look for the ARROWS TO TURN LEFT!! Track approx 1/4 mile North.
I-15, Take Nipton Road State Route 164 to Searchlight. Approx 34 Miles. Continue across Us 95. Follow Arrows thru town.
Turn left onto Gas Line Rd.( next left after the blue Searchlight Justice Court Building. look for the ARROWS TO TURN LEFT!! Track approx. 1/4 North.
RULES FOR SEARCHLIGHT GRAND PRIX

Please Use Gas matts when fueling your vehicle!
It is the riders responsibility to know all rules prior to the event. Each rider is responsible for his or her pit crew family and friends. Lets keep this race alive by being safe!!
Spectators must stay in designated areas and behind all barricades and must maintain a minimum 50'' clearance of the course at all times.
MINE SHAFTS!!! Searchlight is a historical mining area. Stay on the marked course and in designated spectator areas only. Stay away from Mine shafts. Most but not all are fenced in. Keep out stay alive!! Any rider found in the bottom of a mine shaft will be automatically disqualified!!
No Pre Running and No PLAY RIDING you will be ticketed by the local police and or the BLM and you are subject to disqualification. Riders are responsible for the conduct of his or her pit crews and family.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the "Designated PIT AREA" or staging area or the starting line, Rider’s who are caught drinking before or during the races will have to leave the premises immediately upon the request of security with no refund.
NO PIT RIDING!!!! The penalty will be disqualification from the event for you or the rider you are with. (riding your bike to and from staging in 1st gear is permitted though)
SGPRA has done all it can to provide a safe race course. However the BLM mandates that SGPRA cannot close off the race course to outside traffic!! Pay attention to vehicles entering the race course. We have check point people and signs all around the course along with sweep riders.
Searchlight is a popular hunting area as well. Watch for bird hunters who may have wondered close to the track. Report any such traffic to the next available course worker.
Please help us maintain a clean environment; trash bags will be available at registration to aid in this effort. This event takes months of planning, hard work, and dedication from promoters, city officials and volunteers to make it a success. Please as a racer or a spectator respect the rules; this historical event is designed to bring families, friends and athletes together to enjoy a sport unlike any other.
No play riding of Pit Bikes, UTV’s, Motorcycles and or Golf carts etc. You are responsible for your own safety as well as others around you and those who may come in contact with.
You will be subject to DISQUALIFICATION if you cut the course. We will have checkpoints throughout the course with spotters and their word goes. Also, if you see an accident or rider down please report it to the nearest checkpoint immediately.
The Desert Tortoise
The Searchlight Grand Prix has been scheduled to accommodate the Desert Tortoise. “Sweep riders will continually ride the course just in case a tortoise is encountered. If you see a desert tortoise report it location immediately to the next available course worker. We will have a qualified tortoise person move it to a safe location.
By entering onto private property you automatically assume all liabilities and risk for you and your pit crews support people and families and friends In an event where damage to private property as a result for careless driving or loss of control during the race the rider may be held responsible for damages. We are privileged to be able use these properties. Think twice before doing something that will cost you money and ruin this race for everyone else!!
Number PLATES/ Classes
YOU will NOT be SCORED if you do not have the correct numbers on all bith of your vehicle. Numbers must be clearly visible for the scoring team. SGPRA will assign pre printed labels for number plates to assist in scoring.
Experts: White back grounds w/ Black numbers
Ama: Yellow back ground with Black numbers
Novice/ Beginner: Green Background with Black numbers
